The geography of London's property prices reflects the city's labyrinthine social jigsaw. From rich to poor; often cheek by jowl.
"We're living in the most paradoxical place / Cause there's so many opposite things in the ends / A lot of poor and rich kids in the ends / There's a lot of small and big cribs in the ends" (Jammz feat. Scott Garcia)

The map resolution is extremely high, with each unit of measurement comprising the smallest census area, viz. the Lower Layer Super Output Area ("LSOA").
There are 4,643 of these LSOA polygons in our map and, for each of them, we show: the average home price; the number of properties sold; and the composition thereof (i.e. the split between house sales and flat sales).

The data itself is drawn from the UK's Office of National Statistics and is updated annually.
